Panels Plus Introduces
New Component Nailer at 2008 BCMC
ALBERT LEA, MINNESOTA — Panels Plus has introduced a new labor-saving machine for the panel-building industry. Unveiled at the 2008 BCMC in Denver, Colorado, the versatile NEW Component Nailer from Panels Plus does much more than just nail posts together. It efficiently builds the largest variety of components of any single machine — from ladders and wall ends to jack studs, headers, corners, trimmers, ells and channels.
Industry experts who have conducted an in-depth examination of the machine’s capabilities are highly enthusiastic. They report that the Component Nailer is easy to understand and easy to operate. A simple push-button menu helps operators make production decisions logically and quickly. An easy-use button activates both the squaring stop and the individual on/off switches for the four mounted nailing tools.
Industry experts also appreciate the 4-inch gradations which are permanently laser-cut into the backstop for “at a glance” measuring to set the next nail. Another useful feature is the convenient placement of the manual nail gun on the outfeed side for nailing those specialty parts. After extensive examination of this equipment, industry authorities have concluded that the biggest benefit of the Component Nailer’s design simplicity is the reduced training time for new operators. They agreed that this new equipment offers a persuasive illustration of the Panels Plus slogan, “wall framing made simple.”
The Component Nailer offers a unique opportunity to component manufacturers who are looking to speed up wall panel production, quickly producing sub-components while keeping labor and material costs to a minimum. In contrast to other more complex machinery, Panels Plus has engineered the Component Nailer for simplicity of operation as well as high productivity.
